PRDM series direct acting superposition pressure reducing valve is used to regulate the pressure of a certain area in the hydraulic circuit to a predetermined value lower than the system pressure. In addition, this series of valves also integrates the overflow function of the secondary pressure reducing circuit.

Function This series of valves is normally open, that is, under its non working or "resting" state, liquid flow is allowed to flow through the control oil port. When the downstream pressure rises to the set value of the pressure regulating spring, the control valve core starts to move towards the direction of closing the valve port, which increases the resistance of the flow passage, thus reducing the flow from the primary circuit, and the buffered control valve core will automatically adjust to maintain the pressure in the downstream branch at the set value. If the pressure in the branch increases due to the external force, the control valve core will continue to move in the direction of overcoming the spring force, close the pressure reducing valve port from the primary circuit, and open the overflow valve port leading to the oil return port, allowing the branch to overflow to the oil return circuit, thus limiting its maximum pressure to the set value of the valve.
