1. The gear pair in the pump draws pressure fluid (usually hydraulic oil) between the pinion and the inner gear as it rotates. Two gears for contactless operation most of the time help ensure good suction function. The radial upper gear cavity is sealed by meshing teeth and crescent blocks.

2. Axial upward, the use of axial support plate to form almost no clearance seal forming pressure chamber. This design minimizes volume loss and thus improves efficiency.

3. As the gear rotates, the tooth head enters the gap between the tooth teeth to discharge the pressure oil.
